Ativa Hospitality to continue to expand footprint
On Friday, Ativa Hospitality Co-Founder and Managing Director Bill Black said the company aimed to expand the existing number of properties in its portfolio to 10 by 2012.Ativa Hospitality, which was founded in 2008, recently signed on two new Thailand properties, and manages four other properties across Thailand and Cambodia.
They include the award-winning Hotel de la Paix in Siem Reap, Indigo Pearl and Trisara in Phuket and the four-star SilQ Bangkok.
In regards to Ativa's recently signed on hotels, Hansar Samui and Hansar Bangkok which are slated to open in the second half of this year, Black said he expected both properties to run at 50 percent for the first year.
He said the hotels faced the challenge of being in an oversupplied location, but added that the design and architecture of the hotels would set them apart from others in the area.
But Black said the company was now focusing on expanding into Southern India
